Undermind Powers Scientific AI for U.S. Department of Energy Scientists
Scientists at nine DOE national laboratories and dozens of Genesis Mission teams are using Undermind. Teams are integrating it directly into the autonomous research systems they’re building.
Researchers at Brookhaven, Lawrence Berkeley, Pacific Northwest, Sandia, Argonne, and SLAC are using Undermind as part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Genesis Mission. The mission brings together national laboratories, universities, and industry with an ambitious goal: doubling the productivity and impact of American research within a decade.
Undermind is an official member of the Genesis Mission Consortium, whose member directory describes our role as “core infrastructure for the autonomous research loop.”
Genesis teams are integrating Undermind directly into autonomous research systems. Through our MCP connector, their agents combine Undermind’s research capabilities with their own data, tools, and models to investigate prior work, evaluate scientific evidence, and carry findings into the next stages of research—with citations scientists can inspect and verify.
We built Undermind to give scientists, and the agents they’re building, command of scientific knowledge. We’re proud to support scientists at America’s national laboratories as they build the next generation of scientific AI.
